ATHENA ATRYTONE, THE TIRELESS ONE
Athena Atrytone, the azure-eyed, is daughter of storming, shining Zeus. Zeus marshalls black clouds and coruscating lightnings. He holds the power that rules the world, from which kinship itself flows; divine kings are nurtured by him (Homer, Odyssey, V).

Athena may save a man who never wronged the gods, even from death’s edge; she is a powerfull Guardian, one that others would pray to inspire them (Homer, Odissey, IV). She can defend from evil, overbearing men, as indicateded by the appelation of Alalcomenes.
GODDESS OF INTELLECT
The goddess has azure, shining eyes; she embodies the gleam of vibrant intellect; this is the reason for the tradition that wants her springing forth, all armed, adult, from the head of Zeus, god of the many, hidden, devious toughts.
In Vanessa Foschi’s painting she overthrows, as her quarry Alcyoneus, winged Giant, Earthborn.

ATRITONE ATENA, L’INFATICABILE PROTETTRICE
